WHAT IS THE PLASMA TREATMENT?

Fibroblast skin tightening is a non-invasive/ non-surgical procedure with the same results as traditional surgery. This new and innovative technique damages the excess/loose skin which then returns to its original state after the cells regeneration phase.

While some results are immediate, the real magic and BEST results are shown over the next 90 days. This is where the collagen continues to build!

HOW DOES THE PLASMA TREATMENT WORK?

It's all about the PLASMA! The tissues that we treat "sublimate". (Get ready for science-y stuff). The principle is to ionize gases in the area to create a small electrical arc, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, in the areas that can be affected by certain esthetic issues, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat and damage to the surrounding areas.

When the electrical arc touches the skins surface, the heat widens and is transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. Because of this, the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lifting or wrinkle reduction.

HOW LONG DOES THE PLASMA TREATMENT TAKE?

After your consult, we apply a topical anesthetic to the area that will be treated. We typically numb about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the area. The actual procedure will go fairly quickly (20-30 minutes) for your comfort

IS THE PLASMA TREATMENT RIGHT FOR ME?

AFTERCARE

Following the aftercare will achieve you the best results in your treatment, here's how to take care of your skin:

-Do not pick the carbon crusts; let them fall off naturally

-Clean the treated area twice a day with a mild soap (dial gold antibacterial soap)

-After the treatment, continue applying aquaphor on the area for about 5-7 days or until the crusts fall off

-Once crusts have completely shed, apply spf to protect your skin. This step is CRUCIAL! The treated area is "new skin" and needs to be protected as such

-Make sure to keep the treated area AWAY from diret sun for at least 2-3 weeks

-Avoid sauna, pools, solariums or any type of exposure to activities wich present a risk for infection of the treated area

-Do not apply products containing alcohol or other scents

CAN I APPLY MAKEUP AFTER THE TREATMENT?

Do not use makeup after the treatment. This will lead to infection.

The only thing you should be applying to your skin for the first 5-6 days after the treatment is aquaphor. After your carbon crusts have shed completely you are free to apply makeup.

RESULTS

Results can be visible immediately after treatment, however, maximum results will be visible after 3-4 weeks when the skin enters the third phase of the healing collagen and connective tissue growth.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED FOR PERFECT RESULTS?

It depends on your skin, are your wrinkles superficial? Deep? For most one treatment is enough, but due to the ease of treatment, clients opt for two or even three treatments to achieve a perfect result.

HOW LONG WILL THE EFFECTS OF THE PLASMA TREATMENT LAST?

The results of the skin tightening procedure are permanent and may be visible for years. The aging process is continuous and thus the skin ages every day after the procedure and this cannot be stopped. The muscles in our face for instance that create those wrinkles are still active and can therefore create wrinkles.
